Today a man came by our clothing table with no shoes and an open wound on his foot (his toe was busting out of his sock). I had the opportunity to clean and bandage the wound and give him a new pair of socks. Also we had a new pair of shoes stored in the truck and they were his exact size, which was such a blessing since we didn’t have many shoes left at the clothing table by the time he got there! On a cold day like today, I am so thankful that we were able to take care of him in such a tangible way. Please continue praying for Michael, as he is an alcoholic living on the streets and has a medical condition which causes him to lose his balance.
In our lovely community of Flushing with our Prayer Station this morning! Carol and Nicole praying for a woman who has been by our table in the past – a while ago, she asked for prayer for her brother to start going back to church and the very next week, he started going again! Praise the Lord!! Today, she is asking for prayer for her son to start going back after he stopped going suddenly. Do it again, Lord!
We just spoke with a man named Clement whom we met while doing a prayer station in Jamaica, Queens in August. He was thrilled to share with us that God answered our prayers for his daughter, who was pregnant at the time, to have a healthy labor and delivery! A few weeks after we prayed, she gave birth to a healthy baby with no complications. He had also asked us to pray for God to provide clothing for the baby, since his daughter is a single mother living in poverty. We are happy to report that prayer was answered as well. He is faithful!
In the midst of all this, Clement has recently been diagnosed with kidney failure, and he asked us to pray for healing. Please pray in faith with us for the Lord to restore function to his kidneys. Thank you and blessings on all of you!
“Everyday God instilled in me more and more brokenness for the lost, not just in my city, but for the world. He really is giving me spiritual sight for the lost of the globe and a good start is my city.” -Jeshua Creasap, Wooster, OH
“During this time I have grown closer to God and have a better understanding of what a strong relationship with God truly means.” -Rachel Mauk, Fort Wayne, IN
“In this trip I learned how lucky I am to have a home and clothes. It was so evident how many were suffering. Also, I was able to gain the confidence to approach someone and ask them if they needed prayer. I loved watching the Lord move in awesome ways!” –Bethany Shrock, Sugarcreek, OH
“My short time with Street LIFE Ministries has been a wonderful experience for myself as well as my students. I was amazed at how God gave us the courage to step outside of ourselves and not only to speak to others but to pray openly for them.” -Kim Johnson, Stonington, CT
